Vladimir Putin in Switzerland for ‘birth of love child’

(Yaron Steinbuch)  Putin is on paternity leave! After days of rumors that mysteriously missing Russian President Vladimir Putin was sick or dodging a coup, a Swiss paper is reporting that the leader was in Lugano for the birth of his love child.

The paper Blick said uber-playboy Putin and his alleged paramour Alina Kabayeva, 32, a former Olympic gymnast, welcomed their baby in a private clinic in the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino, The Daily Beast reported.

A Swiss radio station reported that Putin reserved two rooms at the fancy clinic—one for the new mommy and another for their bodyguards.

There were conflicting reports about whether the baby is a boy or girl.

The Italian Il Messaggero reported that the baby is the third child Putin has sired with Kabayeva. The other two were reportedly born in 2009 and 2012.

Putin was last seen in public on March 5 when he received Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi in Moscow.

The mystery may not be fully put to rest yet, however, as the Kremlin has denied that Putin recently fathered a child.
